Talk: Cultural Fusion in Architecture: Yoshino Wood Lecture at the University of Zurich

February 2024 | We are pleased to announce that Yuichi Kodai will be delivering a guest lecture at the University of Zurich on February 22, 2024. The event, titled "Yoshino Wood – The 500 Years Tradition and its Future," is part of the celebration marking the 160th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Switzerland.

The lecture will explore the deep heritage of forestry in Japan’s Nara prefecture and its contemporary application in global architecture. As an architect born in Kyoto and based in Switzerland, Yuichi Kodai continues to bridge these two worlds by integrating traditional Japanese materials with modern Western design.
