We are pleased that our achievement of KOHTEI in Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens together with Kohei Nawa and Lee Yoshitaka of SANDWICH Inc. has been included in the book of Japanese Contemporary Architecture by Taschen.
Nawa and I had discussed extensively the importance of merging art and architecture based on comprehensive experiences back in 2006. Later, he established SANDWICH where I then joined, creating Architecture Department to design and complete this building. This is our first and representative achievement in which Art・Architecture・Garden・Craftmanship coincide with the design.
