LAMINAR FLOW
GYRE GALLERY DOOR HANDLE

Fabricated by Metal craftsman 16th Kanaya Goryozaburou, 彫金師:十六代 金谷五良三郎

Metalwork collaboration with 16th-generation Kanaya Goryozaburou master in Kyoto for GYRE GALLERY’s door handle. The design intention derives from the bubbles captured within the laminar flow of water which creates the turbulence of swirls (gyre). The surface is produced with a striking technique that gives tactile sensation before entering the gallery space.
Material | Steel, Oxidisation finished with Urushi lacquer
