DAYBED
as Yuichi Kodai with Clash Architects, Peter von der Osten
The daybed is conceived intending to create a piece of furniture that combines opposing characteristics of stiffness and resilience. The design constitutes of three planes, connected sorely by the rubber in place of mechanical or glued joints. The daybed acts a subtly bending series of planes, bending and distorting in a controlled way to give a sensation of comfort and resilience.
